The Shoals area has numerous avenues to train employees for manufacturing and related companies.

AIDT

AIDT, an institute of the State's Department of Postsecondary Education, encourages economic development through job-specific training. AIDT designs and implements a client-approved training curriculum at no cost to the new or expanding company. The training program can be operated on-site or at a company approved alternate facility.

Alabama Technology Network (ATN)

The Center for Environmental Technology, located on the campus of Northwest-Shoals Community College, is one of 10 regional centers in Alabama forming the Alabama Technology Network (ATN). The Center is charged with improving the effectiveness of the workforce through education, training, and technical assistance.

Easter Seals - Northwest Alabama Rehabilitation Center

The local Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center provides individuals with job placement assistance and job readiness training. The center also partners with industry through the workshop located onsite.
